Whats included in Basic Scratching?
Basic Scratching with DJ Rob Swift teaches the 9 cornerstone scratch techniques. Faderless scratches: baby, scribble, tear. Forward scratches: forward release, forward stab and forward drag. Intermediate scratches: reverse drag, transformer and chirp scratches. The fourth tutorial teaches how to combine all of the scratch techniques covered and how to phrase them. This will help you take your knowledge to the next level, creating scratch routines, improving social media content and more.
Each lecture has a accompanying Training Camp designed and hosted by DJ Rob Swift to help you practice your scratches and improve your confidence and fluidity.

“With any skill, the more you practice, the better you get. The beauty of this course lies within its simplicity. The scratches taught are labeled “cornerstone” for a reason. Rob teaches one skill to help us understand another just like a mathematics curriculum; he stresses the learning of said skills on both the weak and dominant hands at the very FIRST stages of the “journey”. I’m convinced that this “Miyagi Do” technique will manifest itself in beat juggling. Rob rocks, and we should be even more grateful for the origin accounts of each cornerstone that he has studied and decided to share in the lessons as well. I love this art. ??”
