My portion of our first royalty check from Fat Beats for this video tape was $500. I picked up the check hours before receiving my degree from graduating Baruch College in the mail. 

So I essentially ended up holding a piece of paper that made it possible for me to now get a job so I can earn money to pay back the college loans I took out in one hand, and in the other hand I held a piece of paper that was worth $500 I could put towards paying off those college loans THAT SAME DAY!

That’s when I decided I would leave University behind and devote the rest of my life to DJing. I bought my first home 2 years later. Since then, I paid off the mortgage on my home and launched my own business (Brolic Army DJ School), during the pandemic might I add!

That’s not to say it’s been all smooth sailing. I’ve experienced my share of challenges at times, but thanks to God and the loyal support from my students, in DJing I’ve discovered a means to do what I love for a living, make myself useful to all of you and still put food on the table.
